Database Trials

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works, Volume1 and Volume 2.

This is a "searchable collection containing real transcripts of counseling and therapy sessions and first-person narratives illuminating the experience of mental illness and treatment, as well as reference works to contextualize the primary material. The database contains more than 2,000 session transcripts, 44,000 pages of client narratives, and 25,000 pages of secondary reference material."

At present the volumes are accessed via different platforms so the links are unique for each volume as follows.

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works Volume 1

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works Volume 2

This trial runs until February 7th 2019. It is available both on and off campus during this time. While the Library is not in a position to establish a subscription at present, your feedback welcome in order to gain clarity on the value of the database to research / teaching and of exploring future funding options. Please email feedback to Norma Menabney (n.menabney@qub.ac.uk), cc'ing your respective Subject Librarian.
