HONNI makes it easy for you to keep track of books you have borrowed from the Medical & HSC Library, and to request books and articles that aren't in stock.
If the Medical & HSC Library doesn't stock the book, journal or other resource you need, please let us know and we will consider adding it to our holdings. Click the link below for more information on how to do this.
Not all branches of the Library stamp the books you borrow with the date by which they must be returned, so you are urged to check your Library account regularly to keep track of the return dates and avoid fines. (You will also receive email reminders.)
To access your account, click My Library Account on the HONNI homepage.
Log in with your HONNI details when prompted.
Your account will open, displaying the books you have borrowed and their return dates.
To renew books so that you can hold on to them a while longer, select the books and click one of the Renew buttons.
Your account will also display any fines/charges associated with your account. For more information about fines, please click the link below.
If a book or article isn't available from the Library, in print or on-line, you can submit an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request for the item, and we will try to get it for you from another library.
In HONNI Search results, you can request unavailable items by clicking Place Request underneath their details.
Books and other items can be requested via your library account. To do this, access your account by clicking My Library Account on the HONNI homepage. Log in with your HONNI details, then click My Account > Place Request.
Journal article request form will open - links to other types of request form (e.g. for books) are on the right.
Fill in the form with the details of the item you wish to request, then click I Agree. This will send the form to the Library's ILL team, who will try to source the item for you from another library.
Please note: We will do everything we can to source your requested items for free, but we may need to charge you for your ILL requests. Click the link below for more information.
