Pure integrates ORCiD iDs to enable researchers to push and pull publications and award data between ORCiD and Pure.
Once you have signed up to ORCiD, you can add your research outputs against your new ORCiD iD. This can be done in a number of ways:
Searching and linking to content in various databases
Adding ID (ArXiv or PubMed)
If you wish to bulk import research outputs from ORCiD into Pure, you need to ensure that you have signed up to ORCiD first. Then, you can import into Pure using the methods below:
Login to Pure
Select Add new (green button) on top right-hand corner of the page of your personal account in Pure
Underneath research output on left-hand side, select Import from online source
Select relevant outputs to import. Select Import
Ensure that all internal authors are matched to the correct member of staff
Select Import and save
Quickly check that all mandatory fields – those marked with a red * - are completed
Add any additional information to the record such as DOIs or web links

ORCID is a hub connecting the research landscape. Researchers may very often have a number of research IDs.
It is a good idea to connect your ORCiD iD to any other research identifiers you may have. This may include Scopus Author ID and Europe PubMed Central ID. These should be connected with ORCiD iD.
Please consult the following guidance on how to connect your ORCID iD to other identifiers:
