Welcome to this information guide for social work staff.
Please note during lockdown the physical libraries are closed. However, the library staff are working from home and many of the library services remain available.
Online resources - Access remains unchanged . You can still access E-Books, Articles , Database searching etc
Training sessions- I can attend a meeting or training session by Microsoft teams (technology permitting) or I can send a pre-recorded presentation
Help is still available: I may not be able to provide 1-1 support face to face but I can provide support remotely, by email, phone or virtually using microsoft teams - contact me to discuss how I can help you with searches, or finding the information that you need.
It is always best to do your own literature search, however we recognise there are times when that just is not possible, either because you cannot find what you need, or you are pressed for time. if you need a search done, please complete this form and I will carry out a search for you.
As the libraries are currently closed due to the pandemic you are unable to access print books at present.
To find which books are available electronically, run a search as normal, limit to Healthcare Library Catalogue only, and then to e-books (Resource type).
If there is a specific book you want to read and an electronic version is not available on our library catalogue please email me and I will try to obtain the book and add it to our e-book collection.
