Research Data Management: External training on research data management

Finding relevant training

Please note that there are a number of training courses offered on various aspects of research data management at Queen's by the Research Data Management team.

Since research data management is such an enormous area - and will often require specialist training depending on the discipline - it is not possible that we would be able to offer all of the training needed for every single researcher. We do advise that you attend our training where appropriate. And that you would avail of the training resources outlined on this page.

External training on RDM:

  • MANTRA is an excellent free, online non-assessed course with guidelines to help you understand and reflect on how to manage the digital data you collect throughout your research. It has been designed for use by post-graduate students, early career researchers, and information professionals. It is freely available on the web for anyone to explore on their own. MANTRA is maintained by Data Library staff in Information Services, University of Edinburgh.
