Joining the Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland

As long as you are employed within Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland, you are entitled to join the Healthcare Library for free

Joining is easy - fill in a form in your local Healthcare Library branch, or complete this on-line version:

Computer facilities, including free wi-fi, plus photocopying and scanning facilities are also available. For more information, please ask in your local Healthcare Library branch.

Library Locations

The Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland consists of 6 branches, that all members are entitled to use.

Members of the Healthcare Library can also use the McClay Library, the main library at Queen's University Belfast. For more information, click the link below.

Healthcare Library website

The Healthcare Library website connects you to Library resources such as books, journals and databases. It is free for all HSC staff to use the website, as long as they have joined the Healthcare Library.

You can access the Healthcare Library website from any computer or device, even from home. Use a search engine to look for "Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland", access the site via your local Trust intranet, or go directly to:

When you join the Healthcare Library, you will receive a Library number and password. You can use these to log in to and access various resources and services on the Healthcare Library website.
