EZproxy BookMarklet (new version): install

QUB Library Proxy for off campus access to eresources

 

When you are accessing QUB Library eresources i.e., ebooks, ejournals, journal articles & databases off campus 
E-Resources Off Campus can help guide you to the most appropriate resources.

Alternatively, you can also use QUB Library Proxy (EZproxy bookmarklet) to access eresources off campus. This can be useful if you are accessing content directly on a publisher's site. Once it is installed on your browser, click on the button, the webpage will be reloaded via EZproxy server and you will be prompted to input your QUB login credentials. Where there is a subscription to the publisher site, full text access will be granted.

To install QUB Library Proxy (EZproxy bookmarklet) follow the instructions below for the browser you are using.

You will need the link below.

 

Chrome

Click and Drag the QUB Library Proxy link above to your bookmarks toolbar

If your bookmarks toolbar doesn't display, click the ellipsis icon  ellipsis icon on Chrome 
located on the top right of the browser.

Under Bookmarks make sure that Show bookmarks bar is ticked.

QUB Library Proxy will appear in the Bookmarks bar.

When you are on publisher site of an ejournal or article that you are trying to access, click on QUB Library Proxy in bookmarks bar

The publisher page will reload with QUB proxy.

You will be asked to input your QUB email and password and validate access with Multi Factor Authentication.

If QUB Library subscribes to the resource, full text access will be granted.

Firefox

Click and Drag the QUB Library Proxy link above to your Bookmarks.

If your bookmarks toolbar doesn't display, open Bookmarks pane

When you are on publisher site of an ejournal article that you are trying to access, click on QUB Library Proxy in Bookmarks bar.

You will be asked to input your QUB email and password and validate access with Multi Factor Authentication.

Edge

Click and Drag the QUB Library Proxy link above to your Favourites.

​Click the three dots in the top right of the browser for Settings and More or use Alt + F

Navigate to Favourites find Show favourites bar and select Always

Click and Drag the QUB Library Proxy link to Manage Favourites or favourites bar.

When you are on publisher site of an ejournal article that you are trying to access, click on QUB Library Proxy.

The publisher page will reload with QUB proxy.

You will be asked to input your QUB email and password and validate access with Multi Factor Authentication.

If QUB Library subscribes to the resource, full text access will be granted.

Safari

Click and Drag the QUB Library Proxy link above to your bookmarks bar

If you can't see the bookmarks bar in Safari, click on the View menu in Safari and select Show Favorites Bar.

You can also enable the Sidebar, Status bar, and Tab bar from that menu.
