The Library's print collection of publications produced from the Council of Europe are shelved in in Law and Official Publications on Floor 2 of the McClay Library.

The classification assigned to the print collection is JZR with publications arranged under their issuing body. The print collection dates from 1953 with the first issue of the official debate and the Library aims to acquire materials known to be of interest for current research. The print collection is discoverable using the Library Catalogue advanced search with guidance from the Searching tab.

Though the European Convention on Human Rights the Council's work is focused on human rights, democracy and the rule of law, more recent and current publications can be sourced using the following:

  • Documents, Records and Archives is a launch page to the Council's published works including documents in e-format, web archives and audiovisual materials.
  • HUDOC database provides access to the judgements from the European Court of Human Rights. 
  • Westlaw provides access to the European Human Rights Reports.
