HSC Resources for Wellbeing : Wellbeing@Craigavon

A guide for HSC users to direct them to wellbeing spaces and resources

Books

Wellbeing @ the Library in Craigavon was launched in June 2021. This project was support by the SHSCT Promoting wellbeing Team.  Additional funding was obtained by the PWB Team to set up this book collection, and to provide additional resources to specifically support staff working in the SHSCT.  This collection of books aims to promote the benefits of reading for personal health and wellbeing. The range of titles is continually growing and has now been expanded to include leisure and a few fiction titles (see end of catalogue).

You can view the  Wellbeing @ the Library Catalogue to see the books that are available for SHSCT staff to borrow.

Wellbeing @ Craigavon

For our Southern Trust colleagues we have the Wellbeing@Craigavon collection which includes:

  •  a collection of print books ( and a few e-books) to support mental and physical wellbeing.  There are also some recreational books covering hobbies, creative skills and travel.
  • educational games to help with staff development.
  •  light boxes to help you get through dull winter days
  •  massage chairs to help ease your aching muscles, or just help you relax.
  • under desk cycle to help get the blood pumping while you read.
  • Standing desk ( in the Reading room at the end of the library corridor)

Our Wellbeing space has been decorated with some beautiful local prints and a few prints donated by the Cato Gallery in London.
