Nursing & Midwifery: Books/Ebooks

Finding Books

Finding Books

The Library at Queen’s holds a wide range of books that are relevant for courses being undertaken in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Print books and electronic books (ebooks) can be located using the library catalogue on the library homepage.

Print books

Most of the relevant print books can be found in the Biomedical Library in the Medical Biology Centre (MBC) or the Medical Library on the Royal Victoria Hospital site.  Books can be transferred between libraries so if you would like to request a book from one location to collect in another branch, please email BiomedicalLibrary@qub.ac.uk or ask staff at the library desk. You can also return books to any Queen's Library. More information on books can be found on the following page:

Ebooks

The library also has many ebooks and they can be accessed both on campus and remotely, for example, at home via the library catalogue. Just use the link in the record to connect to the full text. More information on ebooks can be found on the following page:

Reading list books

The library makes every effort to hold the key texts that are on reading lists for your modules.

If there are books on your module reading list which you cannot find in the library catalogue, please let me know by filling out the book form or sending me an email c.tierney@qub.ac.uk

Books not on reading lists

The library also considers suggestions for purchasing books which are not on module reading lists. If you would like to recommend a book for the library collection, please email me c.tierney@qub.ac.uk
