ProQuest Research Assistant on PQDT

ProQuest Research Assistant use Open AI LLMs, currently GPT-40 mini (the exact version will change as new models are developed and validated through internal testing) using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.

Where can I see ProQuest Research Assistant on PQDT?

ProQuest Research Assistant will display when you are successfully authenticated with your Queen's University Belfast credentials to on ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global. Using the relevant library link for ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global will ensure you are properly authenticated. Following your search, ProQuest Research Assistant will generate synonyms and related terms below the search box.  These terms can be combined with the initial search query to refine the search.

When full text is accessed on ProQuest, Research Assistant will display in a section adjacent to the document.  It consists of ‘key takeaways’, a summary of the actual document, suggestions for foundational research based on the ‘seed’ document, and the ability to ‘Brainstorm related research topics’ and ‘Describe the important concepts’.
